Dr. Sunjae graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a PhD in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She received her clinical training from various well-known medical institutes such as Columbia University Health and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Cancer Center in NYC.

She also holds various certifications such as; Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), New Jersey Herbology Certification, Facial Acupuncture Certification (PCOM), Clean Needle Technique (CCAOM), and CPR / First Aid from the American Red Cross. She also has memberships for Acupuncture Society of New York and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Alumni Association.

Along with her certifications, Dr. Sunjae has received scholarships and awards from The Center of Lay Mission Mobilization (KWMC) New York, NY, Chonbuk National University in Jeonju, Korea, and a volunteer award from the Mayor of Jeonju City, Korea.

Since 2005, Dr. Sunjae has been volunteering and serving communities that are in need of assistance. She has volunteered her medical experience in Philippine, Mongolia, South Dakota, and Honduras. She has also volunteered at the University of the Nations in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and also at Vancouver Island, Canada.
